Roadway Conceptual Analysis

Description

Orange County has initiated a Roadway Conceptual Analysis (RCA) study for Hancock Lone Palm Rd between East Colonial Drive (SR 50) and Waterford Chase Parkway in east Orange County.

Purpose

The purpose of the study is to assess current conditions and recommend roadway improvements that will Improve safety and mobility in the area. The study considers existing conditions as well as future Impacts of planned development. The RCA will review many areas for Improvements for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists and will provide a recommendation to FDOT for improvements at the Intersection of East Colonial Drive and Hancock Lone Palm Road.

Status

A consulting firm has been selected to complete the study and data collection is anticipated to begin in Spring 2024.

Public Involvement

The Roadway Conceptual Analysis Study will include an extensive public involvement plan with small group meetings with neighboring HOAs, two community meetings, work sessions and public hearings.

Community meetings and hearings will be advertised at least two (2) weeks before each date through the study newsletters (mailings and emails), newspaper advertisements in the Orlando Sentinel study, website and County press releases.
