Hall Road

Congestion Management and Safety Study

Project Limits

The study corridor is approximately 1.15 miles in length, along Hall Road from University Blvd. to Aloma Ave. including the general areas on either side of the roadway.

Purpose

Orange County is conducting a congestion management and safety study in response to residents' complaints and requests to address safety and traffic operations concerns along Hall Road. This two-lane corridor, which includes eight intersecting residential streets, spans approximately 1.15 miles between University Boulevard to the south and Aloma Avenue (S.R. 426) to the north. The purpose of the study is to evaluate existing conditions, identify safety and operational issues, and develop short- and long-term recommendations to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for all users along the corridor and its residential connections. To date, the study has completed data collection, developed alternative improvement concepts and conducted analysis to compare the study alternatives.

Public Involvement

Public engagement activities are planned throughout the duration of the project. Orange County invited the community to a public meeting regarding the Hall Road transportation Safety project. The public meeting was held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, 6:00PM-7:30PM at the Union Park Middle School, 1844 Westfall Dr, Orlando, FL 32817. A presentation was given by County staff on existing conditions and recommended improvements. The meeting was well attended by over 100 residents as well as Commissioner Semrad. County staff received all the residents’ feedback and responded to their concerns.
