Term

• Time off for illness or injury lasting more than a week.
• Earn approximately 6 days each year.
• Upon separation, unused hours are paid to you at 25%.*

  *With ten or more years of continuous County employment.

Bereavement

• Time off for the death of an eligible family member.
• Up to 40 hours of paid leave for regular employees.

Military*

• Up to 240 hours each calendar year for reserve training.
• Leave of absence for active military service.
• Full pay during the first 30 days of active service.
• Supplemental pay up to one year.

Jury Duty

• Paid time off for jury duty.

• Employee-funded program that provides additional leave time for an employee experiencing a catastrophic illness or injury after their own leave balances have been exhausted and they are not eligible for short or long term disability benefits.
• If approved, a recipient may be paid up to 60% of their base salary.
• To apply, complete the Employee Request for Withdrawal and Attending Physician Statement Forms.
