Youth Programs

  • Fall Junior Kicks Soccer – Westside registration for ages 5/6, 7/8, 9/10 and 11/12 is extended through September 15 at Barnett Park, Orlo Vista Park and Silver Star Recreation Center. Games played Friday nights at Barnett Park, October 4 to November 15; cost: $45 per child ($20 out-of-county fee applies).
  • Toddlers in Motion for ages 3, 4 and VPK teaches children basic sports skills, team play and sportsmanship on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 - 7 p.m. Parents must remain with children and are encouraged to participate. Cost: $12 per child per session (birth certificate required).
    • Session 2: Flag Football, September 9 - October 23 (no class 9/23/19 and 9/25/19).
    • Session 3: Basketball, November 4 - December 18 (no class 11/25/19 and 11/27/19).
Adult Programs:
  • Dap Dance Fitness, for ages 18 and older, is a blend of calisthenics and dance to help individuals to increase toning and fat loss. Participants will burn as much as 1,000 calories and get 4,000 steps, on average, per class. Join in on Mondays through Thursdays 6 - 7 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 7 - 7:50 p.m., and Saturdays 9 - 10 a.m. Cost: $20 per month.
  • Adult Education ESL Program (English Speaker of Other Languages) requires that students who want to enroll in the ESL program first take the CASAS (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems) placement test. Registration and orientation take place at Catholic Charities Comprehensive Refugee Services Program

    Registration requirements include:

    • To participate students must have a refugee, asylee or Cuban/Haitian parolee status;
    • Have been in the U.S. less than three years or have applied for asylum within three years;
    • Catholic Charities staff can arrange an appointment to register: Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Catholic Charities' office, located at 1771 N. Semoran Blvd., Suite A, Orlando). Call 407-277-1938 ext. 2067 or ext. 2324.

    Introductory Level English Class Schedule:

    • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. (eight-week sessions)
    • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 1 - 4 p.m. (eight-week sessions)
