Dr. Phillips Ballfield Complex Grand Opening

Tuesday, April 16: Mayor Jerry L. Demings and District 1 Commissioner Nicole Wilson host the Dr. Phillips Ballfield Complex Grand Opening, 6:30 p.m. at Dr. Phillips Ballfield Complex, located at 10496 Bissell Street, Orlando-- see Google map link on web page. This is a FREE event, open to the public.

Summerlake Park Grand Opening

Wednesday, April 17: Mayor Jerry L. Demings and District 1 Commissioner Nicole Wilson host the Summerlake Park Grand Opening, 9:30 a.m. at Summerlake Park, located at 15570 Porter Road, Winter Garden -- see Google map link on web page. This is a FREE event, open to the public.

Orange County Parks and Recreation has the following fun and educational Earth Month activities in April:

April 21-27: Eco-Scavenger Hunt at Tibet-Butler Preserve and Magnolia Park Eco Education Center - pick up a list for the hunt.
April 22: Ambassador Animal Interactions 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., and Guided Hikes at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Tibet-Butler Preserve. These programs are free and open to the public - no registration required.
April 23, 24 & 25 at 5 p.m.: Let's learn about snakes! Snake Education With a Twist hosted by Todd “The Chief” Rowley at Magnolia Park Eco Education Center outdoors at the pavilion. This program is free and open to the public - no registration required.
April 24: Pollinators at 10 a.m. and Fish of Lake Apopka at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Park Eco Education Center. These programs are free and open to the public - no registration required.

Barnett Park Skate Fest: Skate Park One-Year Anniversary

Saturday, April 27: celebrate Barnett Park's Skate Park one-year anniversary from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Barnett Park, 4801 W. Colonial Dr., Orlando. Stop in for an afternoon of fun, including free food (while it lasts), music and giveaways. Support provided by CataLyst, Greater Orlando Skatepark Push, Galactic, Getaboard, PLUS and Skate Bud. This is a FREE event, open to the public.
