Orange County Fire Rescue is the largest fire and rescue department in Central Florida. It serves more than 1,000,000 citizens and visitors and responded to 124,000 calls for service during the last fiscal year.
The mission of the Orange County Fire and Rescue Department is to provide fire suppression, emergency medical and community risk reduction services to ensure our community can enjoy a high quality life and property protection delivered with compassion and integrity.

Last year's accomplishments
In 2017, Orange County Fire Rescue responded to 124,006 calls for help. On July 1, 2017, Orange County Fire Rescue was designated as an ISO Class One fire department. As a result, the residents and businesses in unincorporated Orange County, and the municipalities the department serves, experience the best possible property insurance rates.
Orange County Fire Rescue is comprised of a dedicated team of more than 1,100 emergency responders who are supported by approximately 100 civilian specialists. With 41 fire stations throughout the county, timely response to emergencies is our priority with the goals of saving lives and property.
