The Pine Hills Trail is being developed in three phases, the first phase will begin at Alhambra Drive and extend north to Silver Star Road, the second phase will begin at Silver Star Road and extend north to the Clarcona-Ocoee Road, Phase three will begin at Clarcona-Ocoee Road and extend north to the Seminole-Wekiva Trail at the Orange-Seminole County line.
The first phase of the project includes a spur trail that connects with Barnett Park. The remaining portion of the Pine Hills Trail which extends from Alhambra Drive south to State Road 50 make the connection to the Shingle Creek Trail could be included in the phase 2 or phase 3 project.
For Phase I, the multi-use trail will be designed as a 10-ft wide, asphalt trail, with one-foot concrete ribbon curbs in the Duke Power Easement, and a 12-ft wide concrete trail within roadway right of way. It also includes two pedestrian crossings, one at Pine Hills Road and the other at Silver Star Road, and crossing the south end of the existing pond.
