If you are a senior looking for a place to meet and socialize, Orange County Parks and Recreation has two beautiful locations that offer gamerooms for fun, fitness equipment for workouts, and programs to help you stay healthy and active! Both locations require a $10 annual membership, which includes a photo ID badge that must be worn at either location. Click here for more information.
The Office on Aging, located within the Family Services Department, provides staff support to the Commission on Aging. The Commission on Aging identifies Orange County resources dedicated to older adults and works with local, state, and national partners to create an elder-friendly community. By promoting partnerships with organizations, identifying needed programs, and linking services to the citizens, the Commission's goal is to empower older adults to maintain their independence and quality of life within their home community.
Orange TV (Brighthouse 199/AT&T UVerse 99/Comcast 9) & Vision TV (Brighthouse 198/AT&T UVerse 99/Comcast 98) offers locally produced quality programming dedicated to senior interests and concerns. Of special interest, is the "Vital Living Block" on Vision TV - a 4 hour block that features shows including: "Active Lifestyles Magazine", "Vital Living Forum," "Cardiotap Exercise," and "Aging in America."
