Thomas Yochum joined SunTrust Bank Central Florida in 1998 and serves as its chairman, president and chief executive officer. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Rollins College in 1974.

He is vice chairman of the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees and serves on the UCF Foundation board of directors. He is a board member of the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation, Florida Hospital and serves on the United Arts executive committee. Past organizational chairmanships and memberships include the Valencia Community College Foundation, Economic Development Commission of Mid-Florida, Rollins College Crummer Graduate School Board of Overseers, Heart of Florida United Way, and the American Cancer Society.

Thomas is a member of the Florida Bankers Association, the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce, and is an alumnus of Leadership Florida. He and his wife, Penny, live in Winter Park.
