J. Charles Gray serves as chairman of the board and founding director of the GrayRobinson law firm, which has offices in Orlando, Tallahassee, Tampa, Lakeland, Melbourne, and Clermont. He earned his law and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Florida. Charles has been the city solicitor for the City of Orlando and served as chairman of the Florida State Turnpike Authority, the Economic Development Commission of Mid-Florida and the University of Central Florida Foundation.
He has received the J. Thomas Gurney Award for Lifetime of Service to the Community and has been inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame. Charles also has served as vice chairman and director of the Orange County Compact, which pairs mentors with at-risk students.
Charles and his wife Saundra previously were in the cattle business for more
than 25 years. They discontinued their business in order to sail around the
world. Charles still practices law full-time at GrayRobinson.
