VINE is a free, statewide service that allows crime victims and the general public to obtain information about criminal cases and the custody status of an inmate. Vine covers county jails and state prisons. Go to VINELINK for more information.
Victims may register for VINE updates through the arresting agency. Doing so qualifies you to receive information by telephone and the US Postal Service. This service is not available to the general public, and the only way to get it is through the arresting agency.
There are two ways the general public may register with Vine:
Notification takes place within 15 minutes of a record change, and calls continue every 2 hours for 48 hours. Notification letters are mailed the next business day after the inmate's release. Go to VINELINK for more information. Note: Do not depend solely on VINE or any other program for safety.
