Due to Hurricane Dorian, residents of unincorporated Orange County are receiving curbside collection on a delayed schedule the remainder of this week and through Monday next week, including service on Saturday and Sunday.
All services: garbage, recycling, large items and yard waste, are running three days behind due to the hurricane’s uncertain impact.
To assist residents, an online tool is available to check their schedule this week. It is at www.ocfl.net/CollectionSchedule and has been adjusted to show this week’s service. Please note that only the house number and street name are needed to complete the search. Learn more

The Orange County Landfill and the Porter Transfer Station are under normal operations, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residential yard waste fees will be waived until 5 p.m. on Sept. 4.

In order to accommodate residents who wish to dispose of yard waste, including tree trimmings, as well as garbage, the landfill will be open at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 3 and drop-off is available. The Orange County Landfill, 5901 Young Pine Road, and Porter Transfer Station, 1326 Good Homes Road, will close at 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, and will reopen when conditions are safe.
Orange County strongly encourages residents who require a Special Needs/Medical Shelter, to please call 311. Residents who are deaf or hard of hearing can chat online, download the OCFL 311 app, or register at www.ocfl.net/psn, to ensure access to resources and transportation.
PSN Shelters at Freedom High School and University High School are currently open. These shelters are also pet-friendly.

The John Young Maintenance Unit location and the Bithlo Maintenance Unit location are now closed. For the latest information, use the interactive sandbag map.
The following sandbag locations will be closed on Saturday, August 31, 2019. The remaining locations will be open while supplies last. Learn more.

Orange County Government is slated to open to open nine shelters on 8 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, which will include three pet-friendly shelters. There will also be special needs/medical shelters. Please DO NOT arrive before Sunday, Sept. 1 at any of the shelters. They will not be open beforehand.
