About Spaying & Neutering Pets

Spaying and neutering helps dogs and cats live longer and healthier
lives by eliminating the risk of many diseases that can be costly to
treat. A pet that has been spayed or neutered makes for a more affectionate and well-behaved companion.

Did you know? “Spaying” refers to sterilizing female pets and
“neutering” refers to sterilizing male pets. Now you do!

Prices

  • Female dogs - $25.
  • Male dogs - $15.
  • Female cats - $20.
  • Male cats - $10.
  • Rabies vaccination (with the surgery) - $5.
  • Identification microchip - $15.

Orange County residents who meet the 100 percent federal poverty level*, or receive Medicaid benefits, may have their animals spayed or neutered FREE OF CHARGE. To qualify, proof of Medicaid or the previous year’s Federal Tax Return must be provided at the time of check-in.

*According to the Department of Health & Human Services, the federal poverty level for a family of four as of 2011 is $22,350.

Scheduling

Appointments are scheduled up to 60 days in advance. Please call 407-836-3111, Tuesday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. You may qualify to have your pet spayed or neutered for free if you meet the federal guidelines for the poverty level. Proof of Medicaid or IRS tax return is required.
